Sandcreek 6

About Us

Youth basketball in Idaho Falls built on strong fundamentals, teamwork, and a love of the game. At Sandcreek 6, we help young athletes build confidence, support their teammates, and grow on and off the court.

Coach Robb

Coach Robb has loved basketball since he was seven and has spent more than 30 years in the game, ten of them coaching. He learned what to do from his great coaches and what to avoid from the not-so-great ones. Now he teaches drills, technique and the thinking behind the game with confidence and clear communication. As founder and head coach of Sandcreek 6, he built a program on positivity and fun, where winning is great but never the whole point. Players learn to win with humility, lose with grace and respect themselves and their teammates, because life doesn’t always hand you the win. His mantra: “Feedback, whether positive or negative, is information. Use that information to learn, work hard, then do.”

Coach Derek

Coach Derek knows the game from the inside. He played college basketball, and he brings that experience to every lesson. He’s also great with kids, patient and encouraging, and he can explain the game in a way that makes it click. As a standout defender, he teaches the skills that win games without showing up in the highlights: stance, footwork, anticipation, and the toughness to guard anyone. Players learn not just what to do but why it works, and they leave with more confidence on both ends of the floor. With Derek, kids see that great defense is a choice, and he makes it fun to choose.

Coach Stockton

Coach Stockton has real skill with a basketball. As a teenager who still plays the game himself, he works alongside Coach Robb to help every player in lessons. His specialty is the fundamentals that make great players: tight dribbling, quick footwork and total ball control. He can show kids exactly how it’s done because he practices it every day. Players see someone close to their own age doing the drills well, and they believe they can too. With Stockton, kids learn that handles and footwork come from reps, patience and a little fun.

Coach Logan

Coach Logan brings a scorer’s touch to every lesson. His shooting is smooth and consistent, and he teaches the details behind it: balance, form, a soft release and a confident follow-through. Down low, he’s just as good, with post moves that include sealing a defender, pivoting, and finishing strong around the rim. Players learn to score from the perimeter and the paint, and they pick up the habits that make a shot hold up under pressure. With Logan, kids see that good shooters and strong post players are built through practice, patience and a lot of reps.
