Coach Robb has over 30 years of basketball involvement and knowledge, including ten years of coaching experience. Robb has basketball-specific skills that help him deliver technical aspects of the game to those he teaches. His confidence in a wide range of basketball drills, logic, technique, and communication allows Robb to instill in others what he has learned over his life.
Robb fell in love with the game of basketball at seven years old. He is passionate about teaching others what he has learned. Robb has had many great and not-so-great coaches in his life. Robb learned what to do from the great coaches and what not to do from the not-so-great ones.
Robb is the founder and primary coach of Sandcreek 6. Robb wanted his program built on positive thinking, fun, and an understanding that winning isn’t everything. “We don’t always win in life, so why is that any different with sporting events? Our focus is on the student-athlete, their success, and how they interact with teammates. Our program teaches the student-athlete how to win and lose having respect for themselves and others. How to handle defeat, and how to appreciate victory. Winning is fun, but it is not everything that life brings our way.”
"Remember that feedback, whether positive or negative, is information. Use that information to learn, work hard, then do." - - Coach Robb
